YOSIEC chairman, Dr Mamman Mohammed, dies at 74

The Chairman of the Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission (YOSIEC), Dr Mamman Mohammed (Shamakin Fika), has passed away.
His death was confirmed by his son, Barrister Abba Mamman.

Dr Mamman died at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital in Damaturu after a prolonged illness.
Before his death, he served as the Chairman of YOSIEC and was a professional medical doctor. He also previously held the position of Commissioner for Health during the administration of former Governor Bukar Abba Ibrahim.

Dr Mamman died at the age of 74. He is survived by three wives and 33 children.
His funeral prayer is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the palace of the Emir of Fika in Potiskum, Yobe State.
