Yobe student emerges overall best in debate at 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals in London (Pictures)
A Nigerian student, Rukayya Muhammad Fema, has emerged as the Overall Best in Debate at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom.
The 15-year-old, representing Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Mamudo, Yobe State, achieved the top distinction following a competitive performance against over 20,000 participants from 69 countries.

Fema’s success at the international event underscores a significant academic milestone for both her institution and Yobe State. Competing in a category that drew entries from across the globe, including countries with native English speakers, she demonstrated strong critical thinking and advanced knowledge of contemporary global issues.
Her performance at the TeenEagle competition has further placed Nigeria prominently on the map of international academic excellence. It also reflects positively on the standard of education being delivered by institutions such as NTIC, and on the emerging educational progress within Yobe State.

Rukayya and Nafisa’s recognition at this level represents a commendable academic feat and sets a benchmark for future participation by Nigerian students in global educational competitions.
