Yemen shifts battle into heart of Israeli enemy’s population, economic centres

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced late Thursday that they had carried out a major retaliatory operation deep inside occupied Palestine, striking sensitive military and economic sites in Beersheba, Jaffa (Tel Aviv), and Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat).

Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirmed that ballistic missiles and drones successfully reached their targets without interception, marking what analysts described as a new phase in Yemen’s confrontation with the Israeli enemy.

Speaking to Al-Masirah TV, Hazem al-Asad, member of Ansarullah’s Political Bureau, and Ali Hamiyah, a military and strategic affairs expert, stressed that the operation represented a strategic shift.

They noted that Yemen has demonstrated both the capability to strike Zionist’s core population and economic hubs and the resilience to withstand intensified pressure.

Al-Asad said the strikes underscore Yemen’s transition from an era of foreign domination to one of sovereign decision-making under the leadership of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi. “The message is clear,” he said. “No city or facility inside occupied Palestine is safe so long as the aggression on Gaza continues.”

Hamiyah emphasized that the targeting of major centers such as Jaffa amplifies the strategic impact, both economically and psychologically. He noted that Yemeni forces have developed advanced flight paths that bypass the Israeli enemy’s Iron Dome and David’s Sling systems, placing its air defenses in crisis.

He added that the Israeli enemy seeks to downplay the scale of damage, particularly in Beersheba, by releasing selective footage. Nonetheless, the psychological toll on settlers—manifested in growing fear, panic, and even internal displacement—cannot be hidden.

The experts agreed that the strikes are compounding Zionist’s economic challenges by raising transport and insurance costs, disrupting trade, and fueling both internal and external migration among settlers.

They concluded that Yemen has now established a new deterrence equation in which any city or facility inside occupied Palestine is a potential target, while Israel’s defense systems repeatedly fail to provide protection.

Since mid-2025, the Israeli enemy has escalated its military campaign against Yemen in an attempt to quash its support for Gaza. The strikes have included political assassinations, attacks on infrastructure, and repeated bombings of civilian areas.

Yemen has responded by expanding operations beyond its borders, targeting Zionist ships, ports, and now major urban centers. Analysts say this development signals Yemen’s growing role as a central front in the wider regional conflict, adding to the mounting military, economic, and psychological pressures facing the Israeli enemy.
