Troops recover stolen cattle, destroy bandits’ motorcycles
Security forces in Zamfara State’s Anka Local Government Area have successfully recovered cattle stolen by armed bandits during a recent raid on villages in neighboring Bakura LGA, according to reliable security sources.
The operation, carried out on Wednesday afternoon, also resulted in the destruction of eight motorcycles abandoned by the fleeing bandits. The recovered animals were later handed over to the Bakura Local Government Chairman.
Security analyst Bakatsine, who shared the update via a post on X, wrote:

“This afternoon, troops in Anka LGA, Zamfara State, recovered cattle stolen by bandits during yesterday’s attack on Bakura communities.They also destroyed 8 motorcycles used by the bandits. The recovered cattle were handed over to the Chairman of Bakura LGA.”
Zamfara remains one of the states most affected by banditry in Nigeria, with frequent military interventions aimed at restoring peace and protecting rural communities.
