The revolutionary stand for Nigerian youths, by Idegu Ojonugwa Shadrach
Focusing on the indebted manners to bring youths closer to the old politicians to fast-forward enigmatic step towards making it to a full and solid potential political office, it is mandatory to test a leadership score of organising a conference or a summit to tell ruling class what are appropriate to do, and to present a full revolutionary package that can help situations on ground.
In so doing, the opportunity should be seized to educate the ruling class of the differences youth can make if given 50 per cent of political positions. If this courage is shown, positive and possible negotiations can be set in to consolidate and substantiate the call for political transition to the youth. Resources are not shared on emotional or social grounds – it is rather shared on logical and appropriate grounds. A family shouldn’t be given to a biased and unethical compromised person. Above all, a nation shouldn’t be governed by a hypocrite. These are among the things to consider while choosing a representative.
Recently, Nigerian youth have profoundly activated a social culture of questioning every move of political figures who are directly linked with the distribution of national resources and public figures, especially human rights activists in their service of reacting to political services. This is a welcome development.

However, I must advise our youths to maintain that with decorum to project it as a channel of monumental correction. Exponentially, the lingering finger of intellectual twist that has enveloped the latest Reno Omokri’s Nigerian political inputs must serve as a directional hall for the Nigerian youth.
This should definitely echo in an alter of change. That is, there are a lot of ways to make transformational and revolutionary change in a manner that would erase the past to nourish the present and future with ease. In the same vein, the social and moral questioning that has flooded between Reno Omokri and Nigerian youth on political, religious, and ethnical affairs needs to usher in political correctness for the present and future.
Nigerian youths have demonstrated a high level of creativity in the major sectors.
They are moving Nigeria and Africa to the global stage in literature, science, and technology. There is no doubt that they are pushing so hard in politics. Since that, the need to project a better African democracy and governance is the cry of the soil. And the soul of every Nigerian youth must be committed to doing this.
Due to the absolute negligence in the affairs of political matters, our progress is staggering and has resulted in poor service in international relations. In that case, it is a profound thing to lure intellectualism into a gallery of politics to have a real foundational Africa as proposed and fought for by our late African leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere, Nnamdi Azikiwe and the host alike.
The Nigerian youth should come in similar terms with all the unbiased and well-meaning Nigerians, especially the freedom fighters.
The powerful usage of social media platforms for both constructive and unconstructive criticisms by Nigerian elites and mini-elites, if the strength is channelled accordingly, Nigeria can get its pills online easily. With careful evaluation, it is seen that the usage of social media by Nigerian youth has brought a few reasonable things.
The high-profile political figures get answers to whatever they have done wrong. A lot of injustices have been tackled and provided with a measure of justice. There are many more things that Nigerian youth have used social media platforms to correct in the political system. This has given free access to the youth to speak without a reasonable fear to the high-ranking political figures who can’t be easily approached or visited. To this effect, Nigerian youths are encouraged to do better in providing online conferences and summits on topics that bother them and to strategically mention their nature of reaction if not provided solutions by the government. It is equally a solemn action that the politicians usually make responses through social media platforms for the accessibility of all.
Since there are divisions among Nigerian youths due to a course of interest, they always demonstrate strong actions whenever there is a wave of oppression between the upper and lower classes.
This is a positive contribution to a dear nation. Their bold spirit in confronting any leader who wants to go beyond limits for the masses is a real revolutionary character that they should continue to maintain for good fate. The Nigerian young and fearless human rights activists have seriously initiated a solemn direction for prospective generations. Their records would definitely serve as a guidebook for the future generation. If this act continues, there is nothing that could obstruct national growth and development in the global hall.
Similarly, the fact that the present government is not solely frustrating the activists is equally a thing that brings room for peaceful resolution. Through this, an arrangement for public debate and discussion of opinions is a sure idea behind the growth and development of the nation.
As Nigeria is preparing for the 2027 general election, it is another time the Nigerian youth demonstrate ethical intellectualism. Nigerian youth should rigorously collaborate with the upright and fearless Nigerians at home and diaspora on the need to have a transparent election. Just as they have always demonstrated on a reasonable candidate, they shouldn’t cease the fire. Strategies on how to conquer electoral processes in their favour should be clearly outlined to project to the world that the Nigerian youth can do well in everything. Nigeria’s young artists, activists, entrepreneurs, scientists, technologists, and the host alike should come together to demonstrate their talents and gifts to the world. Nigerian youths are known globally as smart and intelligent for their unique presentations in almost all areas. To this, they are propelled to demonstrate that in the 2027 general election.
I do urge that the political romance between the ruling and the strong opposition shouldn’t stand a test to generate weakness in the Nigerian youth ahead of the 2027 general election. Hence, Nigerian youth should take the opportunity to prove their smartness and intelligence on the global stage once more. Just as Senegalese youth fought for good governance and youth inclusion in politics, Nigerians can do it better and more peacefully.
