Support for Israel at all-time low across Western Europe – Survey
Public support for the Israeli regime has plunged to its lowest levels ever recorded across Western Europe, according to a new survey.
The survey, conducted by YouGov as part of its Eurotrack project, found that fewer than one in five respondents across six major European countries held a favorable view of Israel.
A large majority, according to the survey, expressed negative opinions about the regime.
In countries such as Germany, France, and Denmark, net favorability ratings toward Israel sank to record lows of -44, -48, and -54 respectively.

The figures were similarly poor in Italy (-52), Spain (-55), and the UK (-46), with widespread disapproval of Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza.
The Eurotrack survey found that fewer people now say they “side” with Israel in its devastating war in Gaza. Between 7% and 18% of respondents said they sympathised more with the Israeli side – the lowest or joint-lowest figure in five of the six countries surveyed since October 7, 2023.
Sympathy among Europeans, however, appears to be shifting more decisively toward the Palestinian side. Between 18% and 33% of respondents said they sympathised more with Gaza—figures that have increased in all six countries since 2023.
Mass rallies in solidarity with Palestinians have swept across Europe since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza nearly 20 months ago.
The devastating military campaign has sparked protests by hundreds of thousands in cities like London, Paris, Berlin, and Madrid, with demonstrator calling for an immediate end to the war, which has so far claimed the lives of at least 54,500 people across the besieged coastal enclave.
