Suleja Tanker Explosion: Victims rushed to tertiary hospitals
In response to President Bola Tinubu’s directive for the rapid transfer of victims from the Suleja fuel tanker explosion to tertiary medical centers for better care, 20 patients have been admitted to Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital in Abuja.
Rabiu Ibrahim, the Special Assistant (Media) to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, confirmed this in a statement released on Monday morning.
Ibrahim also disclosed that two additional victims were transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja. All patients were accompanied by a nurse and family members to the designated referral hospitals to ensure smooth and effective care.
Furthermore, the Niger State Government has expressed its gratitude to the Federal Government for its swift and effective response to the tragic incident.
The Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation will continue to monitor the situation and provide timely updates to the public, the statement concluded.
