PSG signs Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade

Nigerian football star Rasheedat Ajibade has officially signed with French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Féminines, where she will link up with her national teammate, Jennifer Echegini.
PSG announced the move in a statement on Tuesday. “Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the arrival of Nigerian striker Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade, who has joined the club on a deal that runs until 30th June 2027,” the club said.
A “Major Step” for Ajibade
Known as “Mummy G.O.,” an excited Ajibade described her transfer as a “major step” for her career.
“I’m deeply honoured to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, a top-drawer club in Europe,” she told the club’s website. “This is a major step for me, and I’m committed to giving my all to help PSG win titles and to inspire young footballers, be they in Nigeria or elsewhere.”

The 25-year-old forward arrives in Paris from Spanish club Atletico Madrid Femenino, where she spent four and a half seasons.
She joined the Spanish side in 2021 from Avaldsnes IL of Norway, scoring 40 goals in 139 games. During her time with Atletico, she helped them win the 2021 Spanish Super Cup and the 2023 Copa de la Reina. In the 2024/25 season, she tallied eight goals and three assists in 25 games.
Her move comes just weeks after she captained the Super Falcons to their record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, where she was named Player of the Tournament.
Born in Lagos on December 8, 1999, Ajibade represented Nigeria at the 2023 World Cup, where the team reached the round of 16.
She was also a key part of the squad that competed in the women’s football event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
