PSG beats Tottenham 4-3 on penalties to win first-ever UEFA Super Cup
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has emerged victorious in the UEFA Super Cup 2025, defeating Tottenham Hotspur in a tense penalty shootout. The match, which ended in a 2-2 draw after extra time, was decided with a 4-3 shootout victory for PSG at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, Italy.
Tottenham took the lead early with a goal from Micky Van de Ven, who headed in a Palhinha shot.
However, PSG mounted a comeback, with Kang-In Lee scoring a stunning goal from outside the box and Goncalo Ramos adding another with a header from a Dembele cross to level the game.

The match went to a penalty shootout, where Nuno Mendes scored the winning penalty for PSG.
Vitinha was a standout performer for PSG, earning a rating of 8.5/10 for his role in dictating the game. Tottenham’s Cristian Romero also impressed, receiving an 8.5/10 for his defensive efforts and scoring a superb header.
Tactical decisions by Tottenham’s manager Thomas Frank earned him an 8/10 rating, though his team ultimately fell short.
PSG dominated possession with 61% and had 13 shots, with four on target, while Tottenham received two yellow cards to PSG’s three.
