Police nab pastor for dehumanising minors (Video)
The Rivers State Police Command has apprehended Pastor Ifediorah Onyeibor Joseph, 41, in connection with a disturbing video that went viral, showing minors being dehumanised during a church program.
In the footage, the children were seen stripped naked and being flogged with palm fronts by the pastor, allegedly as part of a deliverance session.
According to SP Grace Iringe-Koko, spokesperson of the command, preliminary investigations revealed that Pastor Ifediorah organised a 3-day program for children in his church, purportedly for “spiritual cleaning,” claiming divine inspiration from the Holy Spirit.

Upon receiving the information, police operatives swiftly arrested the pastor and several church members at the scene.
A thorough investigation is currently underway to unravel the circumstances surrounding this incident. Further updates will be made public as more information becomes available.
Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, has appealed to the public to remain calm and peaceful during the investigation, urging them to report any suspicious activities or concerns to the nearest police station or security agency.
