Police launch investigation as 30-year-old man found dead

Story by Susan Mbamah

A 30-year-old man, identified only as Anago, was found dead inside his home in the Kagini community of Abuja on Friday, his body reportedly hanging from the ceiling.

The incident was discovered after concerned residents grew worried when Anago, a shop owner who lived alone, failed to open his shop or answer his phone.

According to a police source, the incident was reported to the Kagini police outpost around 1 p.m., and officers who responded found the man “dangling from the roof of his sitting room.” Items recovered from the scene included the deceased’s mobile phone, a small pestle, a knife, and a drum.
