Police arrest 29-year-old man over child’s murder
Police in Adamawa State have arrested 29-year-old Isiaka Hassan in connection with the murder of a five-year-old boy in Tingno, Lamurde Local Government Area.
According to a statement from Police spokesperson SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command received a report on August 30 from a mother, Hadiza Bashiru, who said her son, Abba, was missing and was last seen with Hassan.
Operatives, led by the Divisional Police Officer in Tingno, immediately began an operation that led to Hassan’s arrest.

During interrogation, Hassan confessed to conspiring with another suspect, who is still at large, to kill the child and bury him in a shallow grave.
The boy’s body was later exhumed and taken to a hospital for an autopsy.
The Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, has directed the State CID to take over the case and to find the second suspect.
Nguroje reassured the public of the police’s commitment to delivering justice and called for continued cooperation in fighting violent crime throughout the state.
