Over 200 households displaced as flood hits Kebbi community

More than 200 households have been rendered homeless following a devastating flood that swept through the Zogirma village in Bunza Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The flood, which followed a torrential rainfall, destroyed houses, farmlands, food stores, and other property, leaving hundreds of residents stranded and seeking shelter.

Eyewitnesses described the downpour as one of the heaviest in recent times.
Homes were submerged, forcing families to flee in panic, many with only their clothes.

In response to the tragedy, Governor Nasir Idris, on Thursday, visited the affected community to sympathise with the victims and announced a ₦50m donation to cushion the effects of the disaster.
