Muslim Media Group urges unity, compassion in Eid El Maulud message

The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) has felicitated with all Muslims and their partners and friends across the country to mark the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) birthday, Eid El Maulud.
In a statement signed by the group’s president, Sister Madina Dauda, the MMPN urged everyone to reflect on the core values of Islam.
“As we celebrate Eid El Maulud, marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), let us reflect on the timeless values of compassion, peace, and unity that Islam embodies,” the statement read.
“The Prophet’s message emphasises love, kindness, and respect for all humanity, regardless of faith or background.”
The statement also highlighted the importance of interfaith harmony in Nigeria.

“In Nigeria’s diverse landscape, we recognise the importance of interfaith harmony and cooperation. Islam teaches us to build bridges, foster understanding, and work together towards common goals.”
The MMPN called on people to recommit to promoting mutual respect, empowering communities through education and dialogue, and advocating for peace, justice, and human rights.
“May the spirit of Eid El Maulud inspire us to strive for a more inclusive, tolerant, and compassionate society.
“Together, let us build a brighter future for all Nigerians and abide by the Prophet’s message of love, kindness, and respect for humanity.” the statement concluded.
The group wished everyone a blessed Eid El Maulud 1447 A.H., which corresponds to September 5, 2025.
