Lagos Assembly backs Meranda, adjourns plenary indefinitely
On Monday, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly passed a vote of confidence in Speaker Mojisola Meranda, putting to rest rumors about her possible resignation.

The motion came in response to speculations regarding the potential return of former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa to lead the chamber.
Oladipo Ajomale, the representative for Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2, moved the motion, expressing the assembly’s continued trust in Meranda’s leadership during the plenary session.
