Nigerian culinary star Hilda Baci has officially secured another Guinness World Record, this time for preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

The record-breaking dish weighed an astonishing 8,780 kilograms (19,356 lb 9 oz). Guinness World Records confirmed the achievement on Monday.

The event took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, in partnership with the food brand Gino. It attracted a huge crowd of supporters, celebrities, and food lovers eager to witness the historic moment.

Guinness World Records announced the feat on X, formerly Twitter, stating: “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”
