Gunmen abduct two brothers at cassava farm in Kwara
Gunmen reportedly abducted two brothers on Wednesday night from a cassava farm in the Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The attack occurred in the Bokungi Zambufu community of Lafiagi Emirate while the victims were attending to farm duties.
A vigilante commander, Gina Gana, confirmed that four heavily armed men carried out the abduction, shooting into the air to force compliance.

According to him, the assailants overpowered the brothers and whisked them away before any effective response could be made.
No ransom demands have been made public yet, and the abductors have remained silent since the incident.
Local security sources said that troops swiftly moved to the scene and arrested two suspects believed to be involved.

Gana added that while suspects were apprehended, it is not confirmed whether they are directly tied to the abduction.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Communications in Kwara State called on inhabitants in Ekiti, Ifelodun, Isin, Oke Ero, and Irepodun LGAs to limit movement as security forces intensify operations.
She assured that the state government regretted any inconvenience but defended the measure as necessary for public safety.
