Gov. Buni meets security agencies ahead of N’East Govs’ Forum meeting

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has on Monday summoned heads of security agencies in the state ahead of the North East Governors’ Forum meeting holding in Damaturu.
The meeting was meant to sustain collaboration among the security agencies and other stakeholders to ensure that the meeting is hitch-free and peaceful.
Governor Buni, who was represented by his Deputy, Idi Barde Gubana, expressed confidence that the occasion would be conducted in a peaceful manner through a synergy with the security agencies and stakeholders in the state.

The governor thanked the security agencies, traditional and religious leaders for their effort in ensuring peace, law and order are restored in the state.
Briefing newsmen on the outcome of the meeting, the Commissioner of Police, Yobe State Command, CP Emmanuel Ado, explained that sufficient security operatives would be deployed for proactive security measures in the state capital.
He further appealed to the people of Yobe to continue supporting security agencies by providing necessary information especially regarding the gathering.
