FG suspends Immigration, Civil Defence recruitment over system crash

The Federal Government has temporarily suspended the online recruitment portal for paramilitary agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

The portal will reopen on Monday, July 21, 2025, to accommodate the high volume of applications received since July 14.”

In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, the Secretary to the Board, Major General AM Jibril (retd.), said the suspension was necessary to improve system efficiency and ensure a smooth, transparent recruitment process.

“This development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process,” Jibril stated.
