Borno govt uncovers dog slaughterhouse in Maiduguri (Video)
The Borno State Government has made a shocking discovery of a location in Maiduguri where dogs are being slaughtered and sold as meat.
Hon. Sugun Mai Mele, Commissioner for Local Government and Emirate Affairs, revealed this while chairing the High-Powered Committee on Curbing Menace and Social Vices.
A video in Kanuri language shows dog meat being processed in the Federal Low-Cost area of Maiduguri before being sold in markets. Citizens, especially those who buy suya (tsire or balangu) at night, are warned to be cautious and inspect their meat.

The suspects admitted to slaughtering other animals, raising concerns about public health and safety.
