Arewa Coalition For Peace And Unity: The task ahead, by Abdullahi Idris

With the different types of challenges in place, right from moral decadence, addressing the large numbers of social deviance in Northern Nigeria and beyond, but in registering the allegiance of this non-profit organisation for achieving this common course.

The essence of forming the said movement was to recapture the lost glory and missing links of Arewa as it was before in the 60s, 70s and 80s respectively.

Then there was sound and effective parenting, moral support, upbringing, parental guidance and supervision, where morality counts first before anything else.

Effective morality brings lasting prosperity, wisdom, development and peace in all global democratic societies, including non democratic governance like communist and socialist settings, and even in the monarchy system of government across the world.

In accordance with UNESCO in 2004, it reported that the most essential ingredients to lasting peace and unity globally in the development spectrum are justice, truth and integrity; these are the making of all great societies.

This organisation, under the leadership of Lawan Haruna Yunus, has achieved a lot and still a lot of progress and commitment are underway about building lasting and sustainable peace, democracy, unity and governance across Northern Nigeria and beyond.

It’s equally imperative to note that this organisation, under its national President Ambassador Lawan Yunus, has consulted many stakeholders with respect to unity, peace and prosperity in accordance with international laws, norms and regulations and globally acceptable standard guidelines.

The recent meeting of her executives in Lagos, Nigeria, shows absolute commitment to addressing lingering concerns related to poverty reduction, empowerment initiatives among youths, including women’s wings of the society.

This is a reflection of responsible leadership and resilience of Ambassador Lawan Yunus as president of the Arewa coalition for peace and unity.

Stakeholders need to support this organisation with logistics, funds, and resourceful, solid advice with a view to encouraging the younger generations in the peace and unity-building process.

This organisation has reputable executives across 19 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. It is a great opportunity for development and unity in our society, and to ensure proper governance and development in accordance with norms and principles of the democratic process in the region.

The organisation has outlined solid guidelines and development templates that all politicians in Northern Nigeria should abide by to bring positive development, good leadership and unity to the entire nation. These are hallmarks of development initiatives towards improving the living standard of our society.

Under the amiable leadership of Ambassador Lawan Harun Yunusa, Northern Nigeria and beyond would have a road map to national unity, peace and development initiatives by re-aligning with like minds, partners and stakeholders who are committed, willing and ensuring sustainable peaceful coexistence and development in our society.

He has experience in development, technology, political democracy, sound and effective ideas about bringing a positive mindset, values, validation of wisdom, integrity and transparency in our society.
