AC Milan, Leverkusen in advanced talks for Victor Boniface loan

AC Milan is reportedly close to signing Nigerian striker Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, with negotiations now in an advanced stage.

Boniface has already given his approval to Milan’s contract proposal, and the deal is expected to be a loan move with an option to buy.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Milan submitted an official offer within the last 48 hours, which Leverkusen is currently reviewing. Both clubs are working to finalise the remaining details.

Sources close to the negotiations say that all parties are optimistic about reaching a successful agreement.

Former Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is said to be playing a significant role in pushing the deal forward. Boniface, who was a key player for Leverkusen last season, has a verbal agreement with Milan and is waiting for the final approval to complete his move to Serie A.

Leverkusen’s new coach, Erik ten Hag, is reportedly backing Patrik Schick as his primary striker and is open to Boniface leaving the club.
