Olu of Warri, Olori Atuwatse III lead continental vision as Botswana hosts Elevate Africa 2025

Southern Africa nation of Botswana is set to host Elevate Africa, the initiative of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and Her Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III where African leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators from across sector are expected to chart a bold new direction for the continent.
The October 2025: “The Next Chapter” Elevate Africa Convening is a landmark for the Africa continent.
Organised by Elevate Africa, the event aims to reshape Africa’s development trajectory by focusing on three critical imperatives: leadership, stability, and strategic growth. Under the theme “Africa Building Itself: Through Systems, Structure, and Shared Stability”.

The gathering positions itself not as a conference, but as a blueprint for Africa’s economic and governance future.
According to the statement by the Organiser, Botswana with a track record of fiscal prudence, low corruption, and consistent policy, stands as an emblem of what reliable governance can achieve.
“Over the past decade, the country has maintained a steady economic growth rate averaging 4.5%, and boasts one of the lowest debt-to-GDP ratios on the continent.
Speakers expected at the event includes, H. E Ameenah Gurib Fakim, former President of Mauritius; Hon. Emma Theofelus, Minister of ICT, Namibia; Hon. Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa, Ohangwena Region, Namibia and Hon. Taa Wongbe, Member, Ecowas Parliament, Liberia.
Others are Sam Shivute, Commissioner, Namibia Revenue Agency; Namhla Mniki, Development Economist & Policy Advisor; Dr VUMIK Msweli, CEO, Head of Africa Foundation and Hakeem Kae Kazim, Actor and Film Producer.
The event will focus on Botswana’s unique national story from its democratic foundations under Sir Seretse Khama to its modern-day diversification into tourism, fintech, and green industries.
Dubbed “The Diamond of Africa”, Botswana will not only serve as the convening’s location, but also as a case study in sustainable governance and cultural identity.
Some of cultural programmes lined up includes a short film titled, “The Diamond of Africa” portraying Botswana’s journey through cinematic storytelling, a national campaign: “Pula: More Than Currency” reimagining the Pula as a symbol of trust, unity, and resilience and a digital feature series: “Heart of Africa” showcasing intergenerational stories blending heritage and innovation among others.

Some of the expected tangible from the Convening includes, Continental Synergy, Trust Capital and Sustainability blueprint.
Recall that in October 2024, at it maiden event in Abuja, Elevate Africa played host to prominent voices such as Mayor Jaylen Smith of Arkansas, USA, Her Excellency the First female President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga and Lord Fabrice Brad Rulinda, Mayor of Entebbe among other dignitaries.
