Across the southern region, morning weather will be cloudy with occasional light showers in places such as Cross River. As the day advances, thunderstorms of moderate strength are expected across much of the south.
The agency warned that the predicted storms could temporarily disrupt outdoor activities. Motorists, in particular, are urged to exercise caution as visibility may be reduced and roads slick during rainfall.
Residents in flood-prone areas were also advised to take appropriate precautionary measures ahead of the expected downpours.
