Police nab armed robbery suspects, recover stolen vehicle

The Kano State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with an armed robbery in Abuja and recovered a stolen vehicle.
Acting on directives from the Commissioner of Police, the command, in collaboration with local vigilantes, arrested the suspects on September 6, 2025.
The suspects were identified as Ismail Imran, 20; Abdulaziz Yahaya, 31; and Musa Ibrahim Isah, 29, all from Rigasa Quarters, Kaduna State.
During the operation, officers recovered a 2014 Toyota Corolla S (Registration No. KWL-78 DN, blue, with a broken windscreen).

A preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen on September 5, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., during an armed robbery in Durumi, Abuja.
The vehicle’s owner confirmed the suspects “attacked his family, critically injured one and made away with the vehicle.”
Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended the police operatives for their swift response and professionalism. He stated that the operation’s success “underscores the importance of community-centered policing as espoused by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.”
The suspects are currently assisting the investigation to uncover the full scope of their criminal activities.

The Kano State Police Command urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station, reassuring them of their commitment to “ensuring the safety and security of lives and property across the state.”
