KACRAN lauds NEDC’s outstanding performance in North East
In a major endorsement, the Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has hailed the North East Development Commission (NEDC) as a “blessing to the region” after a thorough assessment of its performance.
According to a statement released today, KACRAN, which had initially been hesitant about the commission’s effectiveness, has been “greatly surprised and excited” by its excellent work in a region devastated by insurgency.
In a statement signed by the National President, Hon. Khalil Mohd Bello, KACRAN cited several key achievements, including the reconstruction of thousands of destroyed schools, houses, and public buildings.
The association noted that the NEDC has also built new houses, hospitals, healthcare centers, and bridges, and has provided thousands of utility vehicles to security operatives to support peace efforts.

The statement highlighted that the commission’s impact extends beyond infrastructure, as it has also provided humanitarian aid, distributing food to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other residents.
KACRAN commended NEDC’s inclusive approach, which ensures that all people, including pastoralists, benefit from its programs regardless of their background.
The association called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to give a special award of excellence to the NEDC to encourage other federal agencies to emulate its success and to ensure it receives sufficient funding in the 2026 budget.
