FG rewards TeenEagle winner, Nafisah Abdullahi with ₦200,000

The Federal Government on Thursday awarded Nafisah Abdullahi, the Nigerian winner of the TeenEagle global finals competition, a gift of ₦200,000.

The award was presented by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, during a ceremony in Abuja.

Nafisah Abdullahi, along with two other champions, Rukaiya Fema and Khadija Kalli, had previously been granted fully-funded scholarships by the Atiku Foundation in recognition of their outstanding performance at the competition.

In a letter dated August 5, 2025, the Foundation, through its Acting Secretary Prof. Ahmadu Shehu, praised the girls for their “remarkable success” at the TeenEagle Global Finals, where they emerged as global winners in various categories.

Seventeen-year-old Nafisah Abdullahi stood out for her mastery of the English language, critical thinking, and articulation, which helped her secure a win against participants from 69 other countries.

This recognition follows a separate commendation from Yobe philanthropist Kashim Musa Tumsah, MFR, who praised the three students from Yobe State for their exceptional performance at the 2025 TeenEagle Global English Championship in London.

Tumsah also presented a cash reward of ₦500,000 and a new laptop for each student to support their educational endeavors.
