32 suspected drug abusers arrested in midnight raid
The Lagos State Environmental Taskforce arrested 32 suspected hard drug abusers during a midnight raid on August 20.
The operation targeted hotspots in the Agidigbi area and Ikeja GRA.
The State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced the arrests on X, noting that the raid covered several key areas, including Alausa CBD, NERDC Road, Alhaja Ashabi Cole Street, the frontage of the African Shrine, Adekunle Fajuyi Way, Shobo Arobiodu, Isaac John Street, and Oba Akinjobi Road.

Wahab stated that the suspects, comprised of 25 males and 7 females, were found with illicit substances believed to be Indian hemp, codeine, and other narcotics. He added that all arrested individuals will be prosecuted.
