Four killed, 21 others injured as explosion hits Yobe community
Four people have been reported killed following an explosion along the Katarko-Goniri Road in the Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The explosion also injured 21 other people mostly residents of the Gotala Community.

It was gathered that the victims of the explosion from an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) were on their way to the popular Buniyadi market when the incident happened.
Sources privy to the incident said the vehicle the victims travelled with possibly stepped on the IED causing it to explode.

The bodies of those killed in the explosion have since been taken to their homes for burial.
However, those who were injured are currently at the specialist hospital and Yobe State University Teaching Hospital Damaturu, respectively.
