وَالْعَصْرِ

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ
Translation:
By the passage of time,
Indeed, mankind is in loss,
Except for those who believe, do righteous deeds, encourage truth, and encourage patience.
Verse-by-Verse Explanation
1. “By the passage of time (Al-Asr)”
Allah swears by time, a most valuable, finite, and irreversible resource. In Islam, when God swears by something, it signifies its immense importance.
