The Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial district, Senator Shehu Buba Umar, has donated ₦27.5 million to support the renovation of Markazi Alhlissunnah Wal Jama’a Islamic School, Madugu village, Rimin Zayam in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

The donation was announced during a Qur’anic graduation ceremony held at the school premises in Madugu. The senator said he picked two items from the requests presented to him by the school.
He said he would construct a mosque and toilet at the cost of ₦25million and gave two million Naira to the graduating students.

He also donated five hundred thousand Naira to the school teacher who composed a song to honour the Senator.

Neptune Prime gathered that 32 students graduated from the school, out of whom nine memorised the Holy Quran, the remaining 23 learned how to recite the 60 Hizb of the Quran.

Senator Buba explained the importance of learning and living by the teachings of the Holy Qur’an. He congratulated the graduating students, their parents, and teachers for achieving this significant milestone and encouraged them to broaden their knowledge beyond religious studies.

He expressed joy with the performance of the school and said, “I am an integral part of this school and I am happy that every two years we gather here to graduate pupils that memorised the Holy Quran or those that learned how to recite the 60 Hizb of the Quran.

“I am always proud to be associated with this school and its achievements.”

He prayed for Allah’s reward, mercy, and blessings upon the teachers of the school for their sacrifice and contributions to education and humanity.

Similarly, Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed pledged to complete the remaining classrooms needed in the school and fencing of the school premises.

Represented by the State Commissioner of Education, Dr Mohamed Ahmed Rimin Zayam, the governor reaffirmed his dedication to education and Qur’anic memorisation and the growth and empowerment of the local community.

The Katukan Bauchi District Head of Toro Alhaji Umar Adamu Toro expressed gratitude on behalf of the parents and school authorities. He commended Bauchi State Governor and Senator Shehu Buba for their commitment to supporting education in the state.

The graduation ceremony was held in grand style as community leaders, dignitaries, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the 32 graduating students and to support the school’s mission for Islamic education.

Topping the list of contributors is AYM Shafa, who pledged to build one block of classroom; Dr Abdullahi Dabo donated ₦250,000 and Dr Mohamed Ahmed Rimin Zayam gave ₦200,000.

Another significant donation came from Honourable Dano Isma’ila Haruna, with a ₦200,000 donation.

The ceremony was a celebration of the students’ hard work in memorising the Holy Qur’an and a testament to the vital role of Islamic education in shaping future generations.
