MTN subscribers in Nigeria lament service disruption on Tuesday morning

MTN users across Nigeria are enraged on Tuesday morning following severe network disruptions.

Subscribers of the network service provider expressed deep frustration as calls, text messages, and internet services were inaccessible in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Social media platforms like Facebook, X, were flooded with reactions from MTN users expressing displeasure with the poor connectivity.

Some said they began experiencing poor connectivity on Monday night, while others said they noticed the network failure in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

While expressing his frustration, one user blamed the network service disruption on the lack of consequences for the service provider’s inability to provide a good network from the government.

“The only reason MTN will turn off internet services across Nigeria for hours is simply because there will be no consequences from the government,” he wrote.

Another user noted that the network disruption affected his business and urged the service provider’s management to resolve the issue.

“MTN network is not friendly in Nigeria right now. Management should look into that and do something about it because our businesses are down right away,” the X user wrote.

An email sent to MTN’s customer care on Tuesday morning has not been responded to as of the time of filing this report.
